The depth is fixed at 310 mm, and the width, as the name suggests, is 10 inches.
How much is 10 inches, anyway?
10 inches refers to the distance between the vertical profiles inside the cabinet. This measurement is standardized at 312 mm, allowing devices with 10-inch mounting profiles to be precisely mounted between the profiles using special cage nuts. If small equipment needs to be stored but does not have a 10-inch mounting profile, a shelf can be easily mounted. This way, the equipment can still be placed in a patch cabinet.
