What are cable ties used for?

If a server cabinet is full of cables, it is usually advisable to bundle these cables. This so-called clustering can be carried out in different ways. For example, cable ducts or cable ties can be used. Cable ties are a cheaper, simpler and above all more flexible solution.

Velcro tape or tie wraps?

Cable tie systems are available with Velcro fastening or as plastic cable ties. Velcro tape has the advantage that it can be used several times and is easily detached to integrate additional cables. Tie wraps have the advantage that they can be sorted by colour. In addition, tie wraps are the cheaper option, but be careful not to pull the tie wraps too tightly around the cabling.
